ORGANISER/VENUE FAQ'S

HOSTING BASICS

I want to start a VAULT at my venue / local. How do I do that?
Brilliant — that’s how every VAULT venue started. Get the venue owner’s go-ahead first, then fill in the venue form with: venue name and address, region, the day of the week you’d run, your preferred start time, and confirmation the venue meets the requirements (4 tournament-standard boards, well-lit, fixed oches, 4 tablets, strong WiFi, and someone willing to organise the night). We’ll take it from there — ADC handles the event creation, scheduling and DartsAtlas setup.

Prize-fund cash contribution on the day of each event, plus the boards/tablets/WiFi setup and a designated organiser. Kickback details are confirmed with you directly by your regional ADC country director when you set up hosting.

  • A % kickback from all entries at their events. Speak to your regional director for more specific information.
  • Guaranteed weekly trade — in the UK, venues see VAULT footfall 35 weeks of the year
  • A packed room of up to 24 players buying food and drink every week

Yes — venues can host multiple weekly events, each a separate entry in the calendar.

RUNNING THE NIGHT

  • Up to 24 players per event.
  • Players are drawn into 4 groups of 6.
  • Group stage: round-robin matches, best of 3 legs.
  • Top 2 from each group advance to the knockout stage (quarter-finals onward).
  • Knockout matches: best of 5 legs.
  • Games are 501, straight start, double out, played on standard tournament boards.

Even if you don’t make the knockouts, a full group gives you 5 matches — guaranteed darts for your entry fee.

With 4 boards running simultaneously and short formats (best of 3 / best of 5), a full 24-player event typically runs through in one evening. Groups play first, knockouts follow straight after.

The event still runs — it’s just tiered BRONZE or SILVER for points depending on turnout. Fewer players also means a better shot at a deep run, though for fewer points.

Yes — if an event doesn’t reach the minimum entries needed to run, it will be cancelled.

MARKING & CONDUCT

Sanctions escalate: Verbal warning → 1-week suspension → 1-series suspension → 1-year suspension. Nobody wants to use them — turn up, play your games, mark when it’s your turn, and you’ll never hear about them.
